How it works
Workflow overview
Decision spotlight
The product challenge is making healthcare access feel coherent on a phone: records, imaging, support, reminders, and profile context need to feel like one journey.
Product tradeoff: Guidance simplicity vs. clinical completeness — a phone screen has to feel simple without hiding the complexity underneath.
What this demonstrates
Product insight
Mobile patient access products should make records, imaging, reminders, and support feel approachable to patients without exposing the complexity of the underlying healthcare operations.
Product notes
How I think about this
Product problem
Patients often need to navigate fragmented portals for records, imaging, appointments, help requests, and care reminders. The product challenge is to make these workflows feel simple, trusted, and mobile-friendly while still supporting clinically meaningful access patterns.
User / system workflow
The demo follows a patient from the home screen into records, record detail, imaging review, support requests, reminders, and profile preferences. The experience emphasises quick navigation, readable health information, friendly status messages, and clear next actions.
My product lens
The demo is framed as a recreated consumer mobile patient-access suite: patient-friendly navigation, record wallet behaviour, imaging viewer patterns, support workflows, care reminder interactions, and profile and preferences management using synthetic data.
Why it matters
This work demonstrates how healthcare access workflows can be translated into a mobile product experience that feels approachable for patients while still respecting the complexity of records, imaging, and care support.
What I would improve next
Deeper caregiver and family access flows; expanded appointment scheduling and rescheduling states; more nuanced record sharing permissions; improved longitudinal health timeline views; richer support escalation and care-team handoff states.
